Vanderbilt University

Welcome!

At Alpha Delta Pi, we are a sisterhood of friends, a family of individuals, and a home away from home. We embrace every woman's uniqueness, we encourage and support each other's goals and dreams, and we value character above all else. Founded in 1851 at Wesleyan Female College in Macon, Georgia, Alpha Delta Pi was the first secret society for women.

Hi everyone!

I am so excited to welcome you to the Zeta Rho Chapter of Alpha Delta Pi! Looking around Vanderbilt’s campus, you will see Alpha Delta Pi sisters meaningfully engaged in so many ways: as scholars, athletes, artists, leaders in service organizations, and many more. The women of Zeta Rho are some of the most passionate, intelligent, and genuine people that you will meet, and I am so proud to call them my sisters.

Serving as Vice President of Operations for our chapter was such a valuable experience as it allowed me to learn more about Alpha Delta Pi as an organization and to give back to the sisterhood that gave me a home at Vanderbilt. Now as President, I am able to build even stronger relationships with my Sisters and to help direct our Chapter as we continue to work on our various reform efforts. Joining Alpha Delta Pi as a freshman was one of the best decisions I have made and I cannot imagine my collegiate years without it.

Although this past year has looked different due to COVID-19, we have still found ways to meet and do fun activities as a group, both virtually and in-person. In addition, we are committed to reforming our chapter so that we can be the most inclusive version of ourselves that is possible. Our Officers have worked diligently on making our Chapter more financially accessible and seeking out workshops in order to educate ourselves on the various DEI issues that are prevalent in our community.

My sisters and I lean on each other through all the exciting challenges of life at Vanderbilt. Being in this sorority means having a circle of women to support us through anything. Membership in Alpha Delta Pi is forever, and we are all so fortunate to be part of a sisterhood that will honor and cherish us during our college years and beyond. If you are curious to know more about the Zeta Rho chapter of Alpha Delta Pi, please reach out to me at adpi.zetarho.president@gmail.com. I would love to share our sisterhood with you.

Pi love,
Micayla Cochran
